    other than the bolt what else needs to be bought for it, buffer and spring????????????????

    i don't know much about 6.8 but i know the make 6.8-specific mags.

    Just a bolt.. You can run standard mags but they won't fill to capacity and will have feeding issues. There are also some long bullets and PRI was making a magazine for them specifically. If you stay with standard stuff, it isn't an issue.

    If you are looking for a specific bullet, the Federal XM68GD is fantastic for both deer and targets.

    Plus I use an H buffer in everything. And for mags try,

    Tell us how the build goes please perry. Got a son doing a 300BO. He just ordered a PSA complete lower and I asked Gary at Twin Cities Armament about an upper for it.

    heck nutz, the way he goes ill probably end up building it for him, jesus help me!!!!!! oh what the advantage of a h buffer,,, the weight?

    I know what you mean perry. My son and the 300. Guess I should cut him some slack with him keeping up with a 7yr old daughter and a 15 yr old to boot.
    Yeah its the weight on the buffer. Delays the unlocking for a millisecond. Reduces wear and tear. Especially if you have the carbine length gas tube and stock that seems to be the thing now.

    Thinking about going ahead and getting the 300 upper from Twin Cities Armament for the kids and letting him work the cost off. Your son have the barrel perry?

    I went ahead and ordered the 300 upper from Twin Cities Armament.Good guy. Told the son when you help me get the old Ferguson tractor going you get your upper.
