Default Abandonment of the AR= could you?

so that we dont distract Dew's thread.. lets beat this around in here..

i went for years without AR's.. then got talked into them for all the wacky calibers... now ive literally got a vault full of them..

my first thought was SURE! if it wasnt for the EXP 5.56 pistol i could just ditch them all!!!

then i remembered the 30carbine AR.. damn cant let that go.

& the TOK AR.... NOPE not that either..

    & the 45acp AR.... NOPE.

on & on...... so not exactly sure how i could get away from them. but i'd like to. LMAO

    anybody else?

I would have settled on the HK91. Till I carried mine on a 5 mile hike in the summer with 90% humidity and temperature.

They are so cheap right now, parts are everywhere, and they are modular so you can mix and match to make almost any configuration you want. What's not to like? Besides, back in the day when the original SWAT TV show was on, I so wanted that rack of rifles they showed in the opening credits! Just a few more and I can start buildin' that rack!

And ya never know who ya might have to arm someday. I'm keeping the AKs for myself and handing out the ARs...

    ^^^^^^ ahhhhh... i see..

pass out the AR's.. keep the AK's for family & closer friends. that makes more sense...

honestly what i dont & never have liked about throwing AR's together is the inconsistency of the parts.

buy a bag of discons.. they all may work in gun A & not in B... or it could be any combo of in between.

& they just dont function or take abuse as good as AK's. :-)
