Type 1 receivers were mostly made before about 1962 I think. The type 2 receivers were the replacement across the board for new metric receivers until the type 3's came out. I think the combo flash hider came in 1964. Rhodesian FAL's are standard Belgian made metric receivers. Argentina did help fill orders for FN Belgium but they were marked as Belgian made and were exactly the same. It really depends when the rifle was made.
