Hope you don't mind if I put this in your thread, but I found a couple videogames that are very realistic in ballistics.

The first is "sniper elite" it is not new, but not old, so it has nice graphics, but will run on almost any computer, you are a undercover russian in WW2, it has wind and bullet drop longer shots are pretty hard to guess the range on.

The second is s.t.a.l.k.e.r. shadow of chernobyl, [stalker is used in the old sense of the word meaning hunter] it is based in the chernobyl exclusion zone, and you can pretty much wander around, the inside of the power plant is very realistic, you could tell the designers looked at a lot of video from inside there. It has bullet drop that varies between guns, so 5.56 doesn't drop much, but 9x39 drops a lot because it is subsonic. This one also has a lot of different guns, and they are very realistic in how they behave, the AS-VAL even sounds exactly how it does in youtube videos of people shooting it [they didn't just use the standard silenced "pew" sound]...
