Postak New Mexico Restaurant Carry Bill Moving in Senate!

Last Friday, the New Mexico Senate Corporations & Transportation Committee approved Senate Bill 608, an NRA-backed bill sponsored by State Senator George Munoz (D-4). This bill would permit Concealed Handgun Licensees to protect themselves in establishments licensed to dispense alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises IF the establishment derives a majority of its annual gross receipts from the sale of food.

I know I need some sleep... I read the thread title and thought, "what if you want to carry in a Chinese restaurant?" It's been a rough week.

In Texas, so long as an establishment pulls less than 51 % of their income from Alcohol sales one may carry a concealed HANDGUN into that business. However, if the 30-06 Texas code is correctly displayed in plain view in the business one may NOT posses a concealed firearm there lawfully.
