Postak Washington State: City drafts gun sales ban

Guns sales would still be allowed within 500 feet of day cares and colleges, but they'd be banned near public and private primary and secondary schools, under a new city proposal.

Why not ban day cares and colleges within 500 feet of gun sales. Seems a little more reasonable since there are so few gun stores.

Cities in Washington cannot pass ordinances on firearms that are more stringent than those passed by the State. Seattle found this out already - Bellingham will too if they pass this ordinance.

Yep... Mayor Five Pennies got shot down in his attempt in Seattle. I am sure they will next try to change the state law. This state is just getting worse and worse.
