Florida's "stand your ground" law allows the use of deadly force for self protection even if an attacker or intruder is in retreat, an appellate court said Wednesday.
I "Think" even L.O.s and civilians can not shoot a fleeing suspect legally.
This Florida "Stand your ground law" is yet too be tried in court.
The law was originally enacted, to stop lawsuits in court for self defense.
When I first got my Florida CCW. They gave me a whole set of rules of do and cannot do.
The law was essentially so confusing, I did not understand it.
If I had a means of escape "I had to take it." In other words "Flee" my home.
Never mind the Castle Doctrine.
So I could be tried and sued for, someone breaking into my home, for shooting them and not fleeing.
Smashing my car window and grabbing my "bitch" old ladies purse. Jail. :bangin:
This law is new and precedents need to be set.
For you guys reading this. Please. Read more of what Gunco "Bob" is posting.
