The federal Conservatives have tabled their long expected bill to scrap, once and for all, the long-gun registry. With Tory majorities firmly in place in both the House and Senate, the bill is expected to pass quickly. Good. It also opens the door to further improvements to Canada's oppressive firearms laws, which wrongly treat citizens who happen to collect or responsibly use firearms as presumed threats to public safety.
