Funny thing is that the chuckle heads will be giving big $$$ for an AK platform that is still readily available from multiple other countries. Here we go again,,,wish I had a few to sell.

They aren't skyrocketing in price like I thought they would. Doubt anybody really cares with all the other good stuff out there.

Also consider that the Russian people are going to simply retool their business and import them as something else in a few years. The embargo SPECIFICALLY calls them out BY NAME. So call it a "Saiga", banned. Rename it to something else, "not" banned.

The trouble with renaming them is the trade agreement that bans all Russkie rifles EXCEPT Saigas and Veprs and such does so by name. The trade agreement would still prohibit them even if the EO was skirted by a name change. Now if they would just repackage their cheap surplus 7.62X25 ammo and call it ".30 Zipper" or somesuch...

I keep patiently waiting for that day.
“The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles.”
