    just what the title says, what is the bolt stem diameter of a saiga 308?

    its the small stem has a weird step in it also. is .347" for the last inch or so.

    ill see what I can do but i want first dibs on what ever your going to be making if its for sale. LOL the carrier is about identical to my polish tantal and the bolts interchange. Im working on a picture now

    hey it worked . you notice how only the last part of the 308 (LH) is full diamiter and that the cut out in the stem is slightly differant, the sagia pin is spring loaded as well.

    I wish some one would build a three lug trunion and bolt. so i could build match grade varmity rifles to my heats content HINT HINT. If I had the cash I would do it.

    the trunion is basicaly the same as a yugo except there is a feed ramp and there are buldges on bolth sides HMMM the saiga bolt is wider as well it will not fit into a standard trunion. the bolt face is further forward as well. 1.083 across the saiga lugs vs 1.017 on a bulgy 223 bolt (same as a 7.62x39 also)
