TRS did you thread the barrels to 14mm LH on the 308s, and are those AK74 style brakes?
If that's the threading you might want to try an AMD65 brake some time

.308's are threaded @ 17X1MM RH. Yes those are AK74 brakes.
    7.62 and 5.56 are 14X1 LH.
On the .308's you have to bore and thread the AK74 brake to fit.
If you are going to slide the FSB back to thread you have to bore the rear 3/4" +/- a "tad"
to get it (the FSB) to go over the tapered barrel.
    No big deal.
I had my choices of turning the barrel down in the lathe or going 17X1mm. I went 17X1mm ......

The brake really settles the Saiga .308 down.....but holy hell it is loud. After the first round you aint sneaking up on shit within 5 miles

And by the way I got a TaT 17X1mm from Brian.

    17x1mm RH, thank you.

Yeah I know what you mean about the muzzle noice and blast, a friend got a 16" model and that thing is loud even without a brake. I got a 21" or 22" and thing is a lot quieter then his.
