    Default My 223 Restoration

Started restoring the Saiga 223 back to the way it should be.

But first want to ask what this thing is on the original hammer/disconnector assemble?

Sorry for the dark pics I'll make sure to take better ones as I go.

First pic is the way I got it, then with all the furniture removed.

Second pic is the left side and to let others know the grooves are on the barrel already for hand guard retainer.

Third pic is after the original trigger guard and bottom plate was removed, notice the pistol grip & trigger holes are already there. I'm sure the 5.45x39 model is the same way.

Fourth pic is as far as I've got so far.

Fifth is with Renegadebuck's AR mag adapter.

That's the lever that's required for the original linkage setup. If you're using the original FCG parts, you can safely remove it or cut it back to function as a spacer.

    Looks nice!

    Thank you

I didn't even look at the original setup that much, just glanced it over, and discovered that when I pulled everthing out.
    I used a G2 group

    Thumbs up Siaga conversion

    Hi Coils,
You conversion is looking great! Question, is that an AR15 magwell adapter that I see in picture #8?

And yes it is, I got it from Renegadebuck, here's one of his threads and my comments about it are in there.
