There are 4 vendors selling their own puck over on the Saiga forum.

I wonder if they both count as US parts?

This is the first I've ever seen or heard of a Saiga shotgun piston that threads into the bolt carrier.

Only if they considered the AK style piston as an op rod in the Saiga. According to the ATF letter the Saiga does not have an op rod. Which brings us back to my original question, Which part do they consider the piston?

The bolt carrier mounted device has no contact with any gas.

I think the seller is just playing on "US made" to make more $$$

There you go trying to play the logic card again. LOL
Keep in mind that they are used calling that part the piston in all other AK based firearms. Don't get me wrong, I agree with you. It is not a piston in a Saiga.

The truly disgusting part is that somebody could end up a Felon based on their (tapco and/or MAA) irresponsible claim

    That is interesting, isn't it.
Neither the Tromix or MAA site mention anything about a puck anymore. Could it be that they got an actual determination from the alphabet boys? Curious minds want to know

I stirred the pot over at the Saiga forum.

I truly hope it's an "out of stock" issue, and not that thousands of Saiga shotty owners are now non-compliant.

Something seems fishy. Maybe Tapco got it right?

There are at least 3 other manufacturers selling the pucks on the Saiga forum.
