19" barrel. Hogue rubberized pistol grip.
MD Arms 20 rd. drum, Ace folding stock.
G2 trigger (double hook), using the original hammer.
Made my own trigger guard out of heavy gauge stainless.
Test drive tomorrow.
The stock hammer was already fitted for width to fit beside the
bolt hold open plate, which hinges on the hammer's axis pin.
It was just an expedient thing to do.
Late development.
Had another day off, and was looking at Quad-rails for my Saiga.
$200 is not my idea of being able to use a vertical fore-grip.
After many brain farts. I went to my local auto parts store and
bought an 18" section of 1-3/4" exhaust pipe.
I studied the plastic stock forward lower, and put the pipe in my
large vise and mashed it to match contours of stock item.
Installed a picatinny rail on the bottom, plug welded it in.
Mimicked the Cetme hole pattern on the lower.
Welded on a G3 front and rear sight.
Hot damn! I feel more satisfied now.
[The Hogue Grip is a winner, a slight cushion effect, very ergonomic]
That is one nice cannon! Good Job!
I need to get one of those.
