The one thing which is still easy to get these days are good magazines for AK, Ar15, UZI.......... Lots of sources and pretty good prices abound. A good investment for the future. But, finding ammo to put in them is the hard deal now. :frown:
Tons of mags, tons of guns, tons of ammo, I'm ready for any "desparado tin cans" that might pop over the hill. I haven't been below 30k rounds for over 20 years and don't intend to let it get below that any time soon. And not because I'm paranoid or greedy, I just plain LIKE TO SHOOT!!!!! And most of the people I know are set just about the same, better not ever, be any forgien booties on the ground here in Vt, they'll get one Hell of a surprise if they do, just our town alone would be able to set up one hell of a defensive parimiter all by it's self!!! And it's just one itty bitty town
Sure why not? It is always nice to see different ideas on doing things, and we could all learn from it.
I keep telling myself that one of these days I'll build a 7.62x25/9mm interchangeable barrel carbine like azhonkey did. Of course I've been telling myself that for a few years.
Yeah I like that round too and was planning to do the same thing, got a barrel-less 74 kit I was going to do it with, other things keep getting in the way to get started on it.
I dropped a Rabbies infected Possium in the back yard last weekend with a Berretta .32Cal pistol. I always just carry that little pistol around here when I am out and about out there. WOW, a sick varmint here in the city. Glad it did not get to my LAB! Cops did not write me a citation for firing a gun in the city limits. I had to do it.
get Ar surplus while they are available, 30rds are abundant but 20rd colts are getting hard to get and the prices has gone up & down
month ago I could still get 20rd colt mags for a good price and any quantity the past two weeks they are sold before i get to open the ar-15.com site, if you don't have enough surplus mags now is the time. yes non surplus mags seem plentiful
I built a new GAS meter tester at work this evening. Or an adapter for it anyway. Kind of crazy we get some of this stuff from the GERMANS? The documenation is in German. Now we Americans may have a upper hand in this market?
putting that ar-15 converter block in the saiga 223 was a real PITA.
however it has opened up a new world of mags for it. the magpull P-mags run perfectly with no feed issues at all. heck they even drop free after i opened up the mag well to the proper size.
now i need some new mags for my .45acp 1911s!
other steel and aluminum mags may require extra fitting .
Guys, if you need mags for an AR-15 22 conversion kit (CMMG, SPikes, Ciener) or SIG522, Black Dog has them on sale right now for ten bucks each. Normal retail is around $27. AR15 .22 conversion 25 Round Full Body 2nd Generation
They ship orders very quickly. Ordered a batch Friday and they will be here Tuesday.
I would like some more Hungarian 20 rounders, but seldom/never see them offered. I remember Scott at DPH selling them to us for like five bucks apiece. I guess them days are gone???
I broke down and picked up a good many of them back in December last year. Came in a three mag pouch for $24/ea from AIMSURPLUS.
But, I was busy playing with these UZI mags from AIM for $10/ea. I still need to cut some more of those for 9mm, AR15 use before my job goes away? Nice Bridgport milling machine at work while I can still use it.
I have been seeing a lot of PANIC buying everywhere now. What's left isn't going to last long.
Thanks for the link. At least they have free shipping quite often & I need some of their Suomi drums aaaalso.
