I've considered purchasing a couple, just for range use.

Old thread re-hashed. I have bought a bunch of new pro-mags, no issues.

Did you get any of the 10 round drums for the S12? Thoughts on them?

I've got a few of their 10 round S12 mags, flawless thus far. One 20 round drum, currently untested. I also picked up 10 of their AK74 mags, will test them out this weekend. Their products look well built though.

So that's what happened to him? Good. He was like the little kid with the stormcloud always over his head....

I think pro-mag has made a turn for the better.

Thanks for the info, I've been trying to decide if I want to buy one or not because not many people are saying anything about the 10 rounder.
I got a couple of the MD Arms 20 rounders, and those seem great.

For the most part, yes, I think it was in the 90s they realized they needed to improve or fade away, I know most of they stuff from the 80s sucked and that's why a lot of people say that.

My experience with the Pro-mag S12 magazines was from their original batch, which was deemed to have been made with the wrong plastic... instead of send back the plastic the story I read was that they chose to send them out anyway "as-is". Sides tend to sag inward, causing hanging on the rounds. NOW... that was from a few years ago. The current production ones are apparently made with the correct rigid plastic. FWIW.

Dad has a 20-round Promag drum. Works great although a bit tweaky to load, as if the engagement lugs aren't tall enough to fully engage. Takes some work but it is loadable. Functions flawlessly...
