    Postak SBR question

When filling out the paperwork for the ATF for a SBR it asks for the barrel length which mine will be 10.5" then it ask for the over all length I do not know this because I do not have all the parts yet just have a stripped lower. My plans are for a AR-15 with a 10.5 barrel with a 6 position collapsable stock. Does any body know what this lenth would be ? does it need the measurment collapsed or extended ? Just wanting to get all the paperwork correct. Thanks

My 7.5" upper and 4 position stock was 26" OAL (stock fully extended). You should be at 29" or so, my 11" AR57 is 31" OAL.

does it need the measurment collapsed or extended ?
    Extended
I'm going to guess (tried to measure my 16" barreled as a 10.5") and I came out just about 28.5", so Mark's 29" OAL might be right.
Hope someone can give you a solid answer.

You can amend your form for changes to the weapon without paying another stamp, IIRC.
