    Default form 1 age?

sorry this is a rookie question but can an 18 year old fill out a form 1 and make an sbr? or do you have to be 21? sbr's and sbs's were just legalized in alabama last summer so i want to build one.

i had heard that an 18 year old can make an nfa firearm with tax stamp but you have to be 21 to buy one or transfer. i guess that was untrue

If I were you I'd fill out the form and throw a copy of that letter in with it. Give it a try. If they deny the aplication they send your check back. You lose nothing by trying and maybe you get a stamp for your efforts.

    Good luck.

Filled out my form 1's and compliance form and got my fingerprints three weeks ago. dropped my forms off for the sheriff to sign and left a copy of the letter with the lady at the sheriff's office. still waiting for them to call me to pick it up. forms are for a sbr uzi so i gave the stock that came with my parts kit to a buddy of mine to keep while forms are processing. Im getting a 10'' barrel so if atf denies me i can just keep it as a pistol.

according to atf's new ruling on rifles built with pistols i can keep the stock lugs and have short barrel installed as long as no stock is attatched correct? Can i keep the stock in my possession or do i also have to have a long barrel in my possession as well in order to be legal?

You have to have a long bbl to be legal. If you have parts which can only be assembled in an illegal way (stock and only a short bbl) they consider that constructive possession.
