Over on WG they have one. You put something up that you want to give away and folks that can use it put their name in the "hat". A drawing is done and someone gets the item. I don't know the specifics but that's kinda how it works.

That sounds like a good way of doing it

And I think it will be a little before anyone with authority will reply since the site just got sold and the new owner(s) are trying to get everything organized again

Yupper, that sounds like the best way to do it to me! And fair for all, not only that but they'll be a bit of suspense involved having it as a drawing besides !!

A regular Poor Mans,or Poor Gunners,,,, Power Ball !!

I'm not sure how much admin wants to get involved in this, or if it's even necessary to check first , but not ever seeing a "rule book" per-sa, it's just best to get an OK first I'd think. I think the giver could just throw the names in a hat and do the drawing them self, that would be the easiest way. Unless admin wish's to get involved.

I can't say I've ever seen anything here that expressly addresses something like that ,,,but best to check first I'd think anyhoo. We don't want to step on toes or make the new admin feel left out of all the fun,, after all.

I just PM-ed Winn R to see how we'd go about doing this or it's even covered in the" Rule Book", so I'll let everyone know or admin will if it's OK.

I don't think there is any rules for giving something away, but my opinion is it would be best to have someone in charge give an "yes you can" or "sorry but no" answer, as you said we don't want to step on any toes.

Now on the other hand I could see just giving something to someone that can prove they need it to finish a project, like post a pic of what they are working on to prove it.

Just came back from my sons house sunday with his mini. Gave him a line about having to take some measurements for another mini I'm working on. I discovered that I didn't have the proper tap and bit so I had to order more. Where did the ones I had get to? O well, I like new sharp taps and drill bits anyway. So as soon as I get them I can finish this up. I got my centerline by inserting a close fitting cleaning rod down the muzzle and into the receiver and by looking at it from the top was able to get very close with my calibrated eyeballs. Took the bbl off with my homemade receiver wrench to make things easier. Then center punched where the holes need to be and drilled starter holes. Everything lines up perfect. In doing some research I have learned that the stainless minis are a pain to drill and tap. Just too damn hard. This blued one was very easy to drill.
