I figured I'd just start a new thread on this. Some of us have been discussing it on other threads, but it appears that Tapco might be on the fence about manufacturing some PSL mags, if there is enough interest. My suggestion is for all of us who are interested in them, (and even those that aren't) is to email Tapco and let our voices be heard on the subject. Maybe hearing from the buying public will spur them into action. Especially if it appears that there's $$$ to be made. Here are a couple of email addresses to Tapco:
Heck, post the info on other boards if you know others that are interested. I know there are a lot of PSL owners out there, as well as folks still building PSL kits, so I would think there'd be plenty of interest. Thanks!
Yeah, at least it appears that it is something that they want to do, when the time/money is right. I'd really like to know about that Yugo M91 as well. I'm assuming from his answer that the PSL/Romak type mags fit the M91??It was hard to tell from the pics I've seen. They looked more SVD than PSL from what little I remember.
Wow, I was just looking at Apex's website, and the PSL factory 10 round mags are $45.00 for Good, and $55.00 for Very Good. Dayum that's expensive!!! Hell even the Yugo M76 10 round mags are only $35.00. While that's not exactly cheap, it's at least in-line with what you expect to pay. $55.00 for a PSL mag though is freaking ridiculous!
2nd american thanks for the heads up I got two excellent ones myself today, I just don't see them making anymore nor am I holding out for a US made mag. funny I was on apex's site last night and never thought to look
I just ordered it was $110.00 for two Excellent mags with shipping
remember Gunboards and Ak forum or Ak files can never emeber which has a matching mag thread to match the serial numbers up with your rifle get on there and post your numbers
for the new guys all the mags are electro penciled with a serial number to match the gun apparently because these mags are not readily interchangable, of the 5 mags I have one does not work at all ( won't feed) supposedly there are some out there with no serial number and a few stamped also
here you go http://www.theakforum.net/forums/41...do-i-have-your-psl-mag-we-have-one-match.html
so how do you guys have serials that match your guns now days if you dont do it yourself?
ive built all mine.. so the receivers are "new"...
do you guys have "old" PSL's that were issued?
EDIT: went to the link & see that this is for stuff century built.... so its only gonna work for a small group of people who bought century guns... BUT that still makes people with numbers available to swap with you. pretty cool.
That's what always happens with me. If I'm broke, the market is flooded with a product at a great price. Then as soon as I finally have the discretionary income, you can't find squat, and the prices are through the roof. I did that with 74 mags. Bought 10 standard 30 rounders and two 45 round bakelite RPK-74 mags, and figured I'd wait to get more. Then you couldn't find them for less than $40.00 each!!!! Insane.
I got my mags on thursday I finally openned the box, WOW they are in excellent condition 100% finish only one of the two were serial numbered, some cosmoline really nice mags
