    Default WOW. Just WOW...

I'm not sure if this should go here or in the Bolt action section...

I present to you, in all it's curious (for lack of a better word) glory, the "Asskrakinov". http://tireironscorner.blogspot.com/...lashnikov.html

Note: This is not my story, I just found it on the interweebs and thought you all might like to see it as well.

That's freaking crazy!! Necessity is the mother of invention. I guess the "builder" had a pile of parts, and wanted to build a functioning firearm. Crazy sh*t they do over there in the M.E. It's gotta be Pakistanni.
    Enforcement, NOT Amnesty!!!!!!

we squabble around over if a 80% is a build or not here with all the tools in the world -- tango made cast steel AKs from scrap steel over a wood fire--made very part on the thing except the barrel.

i seen tangos 1911s too sort of a 1911 tok rip off. it didn't look as bad as it sounds and it would shoot. same deal they cast the frame slide and made the barrel too along with all the small parts. only thing they didn't make was the mags.

they also had a home grown 12.7mm heavy machine gun --sort of crude compared to the russian made ones with a slower rate of fire.

they would take a platoon kids and thousands of cheap china made files and start out with a china made anvil--

pretty hard core if you ask me--

I've seen some pretty crude things in Cambodia, Laos, and Nam,,,the mother of invention ,, will yield some pretty strange looking stuff sometimes. I recall a Drilling style gun that was pretty interesting and actually shoot half decent,,,

I didn't shoot it myself mind you, but I watched the builder shoot it several times with amassing results,,I wouldn't want him to be shooting at me with it anyhow!! It shot decent. Instead of breaking like a double barrel, it pivoted sideways like the old Colt single shot derringers did. If I remember right it was 2 12gauge barrels with a x54 barrel silver soldered on top that looked allot just like a M-44 Mossin barrel ,and I'm pretty sure it was. It sure had the M-44 sights and that was a very popular gun with the NVA over there, so that stuff was available to them for parts and I'm sure they were used for parts all the time. Actually the wood work on it was ,,Quite,, nice, actually even though it was a bit of a strange layout, but very nicely done with carvings and a real nice finish,,it wasn't a club like the AK/bolt gun pictured at all and was actually quite well made.

It rather looked like a cross breed of a early Turk match lock type stock/ Drilling/ and a double Ithicia shotgun. With a wide forearm that looked like a double Ithaca "beaver tail" shotgun forearm. And it pivoted sideways with just a simple catch to lock it in place instead of breaking open like a shotgun and had no ejectors.

    It was actually pretty interesting.

Funny, Special Ops guys. "You shoot it, no you, no you.. Give it too the Rag Head, he will shoot it."
