    Default Hungarian 20 round mags?

Are there any vendors selling the 20 round Hungarian mags like we used to get from Curtiss for $5.00 each?
They are my favorites & I'd like some more.

    Thanks, Brad

Other people found out they are great mags, now they're hard to find and expensive.

I cut down some of my 30 rounders to 20 rounders.

Hungarian Tanker on the right, cut down Bulgy on the left.

Shooter17 - thanks for sharing the pics. Any tips for cutting down mags?

Bradrock - I haven't seen any 20 round mags for sale lately - but if I do see any I'll let you know.

And they were brand new/unissued to boot.

Any tips for cutting down mags?
    Yep...from my post on WG......

"Used one of my Tanker mags to get spring length and body length.

Oddly, when I compared the 20 round Tanker spring and the 30 Bulgy, they were the same length.

But, the diameter of wire was heavier in the Bulgy than the Tanker.
Started by cutting a coil at a time until the Bulgy follower resistance felt similar to the Tanker.
Cut a total of 3 coils off the Bulgy spring.

The body trim was pretty simple, cut to length, leaving long wings to bend at a 90 degree angle, flattened striations, then trimmed the wings for bottom plate to slide/lock on.

Hand cycled several times without issue.
Update**range tested and they ran perfect, zero issues."

I got a few of those 20 rounders back in the day in pouches and I really like them.

Wow they have zoomed in price. I should have bought more. Live and learn.

If there is one rule that I have learned the hard way since becoming re-aquainted with the firearm hobby, it's 'When you see it, BUY IT!!!" I always told myself, "well I'll wait a while, maybe the price will come down even more" or some other dumb sh*t like that. Then they either go up in price, don't import any more for a long time, get outlawed by the gov, or whatever other reason. I always kick myself in the butt over it. Now if it seems like a good enough deal, and they are plentiful, I try to buy it, because they won't be around if I wait.
    Enforcement, NOT Amnesty!!!!!!

"If they’re going to come here illegally, apply for & receive assistance through a corrupted Government agency encouraging this lawless behavior, work under the table & send billions of dollars each year back to their families in Mexico, while bleeding local economies dry, protest in our streets waving their Mexican flags DEMANDING rights, while I have to press ’1′ for English, then they need to be shipped back to where they came from!" -Chad Miller
