Talking savage axis/edge 10+ round mag mods

Savage Axis/Edge 10 Round High Capacity Magazine.. - Sniper's Hide Forums

some folks modding the 308s and 223 axis/edge rifle mags to hold more than stock.

one of the things SAVAGE should have done to start with is have an improved mag catch and a larger mag.

i may mod mine but right now ammo has the priority.

Looks good. I gotta say, however, that my Ishapore 2a Enfield scout came with that problem solved. Would work well with conventional scope mount also.

How much work would it be to make an M14/M1A mag function in that rifle?

pretty big job. i had a few m-14 mags laying around --

the old HK/CETME mags are cheaper and there going to have to be cut up anyways.

what i really want to do is a axis/edge in 223--LOL

the axis/edge rifle would have been the cats meow if they had just went to a little more effort on the mags--

Hmmm...how about for a Mauser action? I recall that Sarco sells a repro 20rnd trench mag. Has anyone ever used one of these ?

It seems some high-dollar custom removeable mag wells exist for Mausers, but you'd think folks would appreciate an affordable simple solution... (I know I'd be interested)
