I haven't heard of them before, but that doesn't really mean anything. I imagine that there are many Belgium mfg that I have never heard of before. That is a smoking deal though. I spent at least that much overhauling that large ring receiver that I did the tutorial on.

I went to their website. They have some really sweet rifles. The online reviews state that the original Dumoulin rifles made when the father ran the company were great, but no one really knew a lot about the new ones that were being made since the old man passed away and his son took over the company. If the description on Sarco is to be believed it would be a really great action. The side swing safety and the adjustable trigger are very expensive when bought aftermarket. Also the hinged trigger guard is nice and expensive. I wish I had the disposable cash to get one.

I really should order one. I spent a bunch of money on large ring tooling and jigs, I should put it all to good use.

    I'm unsure what this means.

BOLT: A-2 Steel, one piece bolt ,handle & knob with checkered flat on underside. The extractor is the traditional proven, ‘claw type’ extractor. Bolt Head diameter is set for the .30-06 family of cartridges.

If I do another one I'm going .308 again. I used the original 8mm bolt for my last build and it works perfectly. Anybody know what the difference is between a .30-06 head and a .308win?

If i had an aught 6 I would mike it against my 308 but I've always read they're the same. But I don't assume anything.

From what I've found on the net, the 30-06 has a diameter of .4730 and a .308 is .4728
.0002 can't possibly be an issue, can it? The 8mm has a diameter of .470 and as I mentioned that bolt worked fine with .308

As far as I know they all work in the same bolt face.

    That's what I thought too.

I wonder what they mean by this; "Bolt Head diameter is set for the .30-06 family of cartridges"

.30-06 is part of the .30-03 springfield family while the .308 is part of the 300 savage family for what that's worth
