    Default An M4-shotgun gun combo!

Here is a new twist on a survival type of firearm. It is a shotgun hanging onto an M4 rifles. I don't think so! It looks awkward and cumbersome to me. I don't think that I like anything about it. But, it may appeal to some people. It is something new and different.

Here is a little more information:

Turkish firm Armsan had their new RSX2 UBS shotgun on display at the IDEF expo last month. The shotgun is essentially a Armsan RSX2 shotgun without a stock or grip with a picatinny mounting adapter screwed onto the receiver, allowing it to be mounted underneath a rifle. I comes with a foldable foregrip that does not look particularly ergonomic.

UDT was doing that way back in the early nam days , i think the changed them over to a m203 set up as soon as they were able to.

back in the 80s the DOD played around with the idea of a 20ga "assault shotgun."

it was semi auto and a few were fitted in the 203 position with cut off shortie barrels --it was a mean little package short barreled m4 with short barreled 20ga--

it think though the idea was dropped cause they didn't want to have to supply 20ga ammo it was a non standard item and it took a lot of space on the transports.

Ah yes they reinvented the MASTERKEY! Famously un-used in the Predator movie

Recently got to watch someone on the range fire a registered M203 w/ 12 gauge insert. INCREDIBLY LOUD! Seems it would be a nice "ace in the hole" to have that if you aren't going to be breaching doors. Instead of "30 rounds... click... reload" it would be "30 rounds... click... BOOM... reload" LOL
