    Default I.O., Inc., Monroe, N.C.

I purchased an AK-47C model through a local dealer rather than at the gun show or directly from the manufacturer (I.O.) because I thought that I would receive a higher level of customer service after the sale.

My local dealer was somewhat of a disappointment, but I.O. was great.
    1. I had issues with the first AK so IO replaced it and paid shipping both ways.
    2. FedEx dropped the replacement AK on the barrel enroute back to me. I.O. took the replacement back, repaired it and paid shipping both ways (again).
    3. Bolt carrier was really tight on the replacement AK. I.O. paid shipping again both ways and replaced the bolt carrier.
    4. The original AK had a Galil foregrip, replacement had a bottom rail foregrip. I.O. sent me a free Galil foregrip.
    5. I.O. sent me a really excellent 'goodie-box' with lots of really neat accessories for my trouble.
    6. Head customer service lady, Lea, was really a pleasure to deal with, kept me informed and worked with me every step of the way.
Needless to say; I WOULD DEFINATELY buy from I.O. again. Just my experience with these folks/

You got lucky. IO is not renowned for their customer service.

I used to use I.O. allot when it was like Apex about 4 years ago. But things have changed over there, and not for the better. They do good with what they have though.

I ordered a kit from IO and the rear sight block was twisted up on the barrel assembly. They sent out a replacement barrel assembly quickly and without a hassle, didn't have to send the original back. The replacement barrel assembly was ok.

I just got a kit from them a few weeks back, it was missing the mag and a complete rear section ( I received a incomplete rear). I e-mailed stephanie @ IO with a picture from their ad and explained what was missing

everything needed was in the mail in 2 days and all is fine

    Thank IO

I've done business with them on several occasions over the years and alwas had good luck with them. Parts, kits, barrels, and magazines all have been no hassle and good stuff.

I.O 'is' a crap shoot but damn do they still have some alright stuff. You can look at most importers/manufacturers and say the same thing (Vector sometimes has slow turn around, Century builds junk but they'll fix it for you.) Its hard to keep solid employees on the books when things are so wishy washy (especially how NC's economy is...)
