I have a ORF wood stocked -74 and the front trunnion requires the use of two of the special "offset swell neck rivets". Maybe we can get Bob to have a run of these rivets made too to complete the rivet sets.

I think all the -74's were demilled by the same monkeys. By random chance, even a monkey can get the job done right.

Remeber the good olde days when pieces of the receiver was still attached to the trunnions and trigger guards?

Maybe they were blind drunk monkeys! Too much of the Banana juice!

I originally bought one of the cut barrel assembly's from k-var to practice removing the old rivets and installing new ones. I didn't think of using the trunnion as a replacement, but that's a great idea. One question though...would the headspace come out o.k. using the trunnion from the cut assembly along with the barrel from the parts kit or would it more likely be out of spec?

The one I looked at wouldn't work without a giant pin-- I've since forgotten the size.

Depends upon where the barrel was drilled relative to the trunnion.
