    A 1.47x5.5 vial would be workable in the front sight, and probably doable in the rear sight. It's all a matter of good use of the adhesive you use to hold the tiny vial in place. With good centering, a 5.5 vial would be visually indistinguishable from a 6mm vial.

    It has been recommended to use a small amount of rubber cement or RTV silicone caulking to install the vials.

    Clear RTV or silicone rubber appear to be what was used on both front and rear night sights on my RPK. Sure sticks like that stuff, doesn't want to come off like rubber would.
