Default Are there companies that will go out of business as the hobby sunsets?

I have been thinking about our little hobby that appears to have a short life span. From the way things are going, its not going to go on much longer especially if a liberal takes over the white house.

Now I'm curious about something, are there any businesses that will go out of business and hurt people because of these crazy laws.

Like will Curtis at AKbuilder go out of business, and Copes and others?

I'm not saying just the AK47 world but the evil rifle world as a whole and the whole building hobby as a whole.

I just worry about collateral damage from building guns going away.
    I love cheese.

It all depends on the laws that could be passed.
If they really wanted to put a hurt on our hobby, then they could ban the importation of ammo and then tax the crap out of US production. That would really slow down the gun crowd.

They could also do a total stop of the importation of ALL parts kits. Not just barrels. They would mean a US manufacturer would start making more AK parts.

I don't see them do much with the ban of weapons, I do see them doing something with ammunition.

They just closed the inefficient old Winchester factory because it was too expensive to keep running. Winchester guns are still made at FN's other facilities, and eventually if there is a market for the rest of the stuff that was made at the old factory, we will see it reappear.

FN now makes a rifle that is built on a M70 action.

You can't get into a business like this and think the gravy train will run forever. That is part of doing buisiness, adapting to the current market/ regulations.

That's like saying they still make Shelby mustangs , since there is a liscensed Shelby company producing them now days.
The New FN made Winchesters will never be the same as a New Haven built firearm to most folks.
Ask the people of New Haven Conneticut where they were built for 140 years, prior to shutting the doors.

unfortunately businesses don't care about nostalgia, only the bottom line.
