Is that a Red star arms adjustable trigger in that build? If so, how does it work in your 74?
I test fired my 74 with a arsenal trigger group and got some trigger slap out of it.
Nope, single hook G2. I've not tried the Arsenal triggers yet. I've ran about 60 rounds through it, no trigger slap..

I ran into the same problem, and called Harlan. He and Steve? said that the rear trunnion holes on the receiver had to be elongated forward to let the trunnion take up the gap. I did, and it worked.
Another thing I noticed with the NDS-3 is that the gap between the selector and the top cover is wider than when using a OOW receiver. Hmmmm.

Great pics Slamfire, I like your pistol work too. Those pics look like what I was dealing with. I took BigAl up on his advice and bent the lower tail end of the top cover and it worked great! closed the gap completly. Thanks BigAl.
There were a couple of other good ideas too but the above was the easiest.

I think this is my problem as well. I have done 9 NDS 100% receiver builds and all were perfect. I am wondering why this receiver was not the same, I will pay closer attention on the next one. I will still use NDS.

Do you really think the problem is in the receiver? I've built several from NDS and never had that problem (I have had some problems that I caused myself, however)
