    Default modified charging handle

    Hi.
I have put on a side folding stock to my home build G Romy ak,the part I do not like is that of having to swing out the buttstock in order to pull back the charging handle.
Has anyone modified the bolt carrier or is there a ready available part to be more like the Galil?
    Danny.

you can buy galil knobs at orf, then just modify your existing handle to take it.

What side folder did you install?
The Romy/German ones don't block the charging handle.

You can always heat up the existing handle and bend it up like the Romanians did on the AK74 folders.

Personally I wouldnt even touch tapco's folding stock. Though I do own one of their M4 stocks for the ak. And have been completely satisfied with it. Might I suggest spending $50-70 on the romy stock and calling it a day.
