    Default Romanian barrel component pins

I am in the process of removing barrel component pins on a Romy G, Three have come out with a pin punch and a hammer. The RSB pin and one other on the GB will not budge. Does anyone have any suggestions? This is my buddies Romy G and when he pressed out the barrel pin he bent the RSB so it needs to be replaced. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

RSB pin left. Sucker won't budge. How about a small BB shot and the hydraulic press?

If you are replacing itanyways why not drill it out with a smaler bit and relieve the pressure. Drill all the way out if you have to

I thought about that but then I would have to find another RSB pin.

you can put a little heat on the RSB and then try pressing the pin out

Kroil is your friend. Let it set overnight.

I did the Kroil spray. I figured it out, after he bent the RSB it actually moved it on the barrel so I think there was pressure from the RSB moving on the pin & channel for the pin. I chucked it in the vise and used a pipe wrench on a part of the barrel that is covered by the handguard and was able to move the RSB into it's original position. Once I did that I was able to punch out the pin with a hammer and punch. My problem now is removing the actual RSB. Is there any certain tricks to this? I have tried using the hydraulic press but even when I shim everything up the barrel cants on me and there is not enough pressure on the barrel to push it against the barrel. I see quite a few RSB's for sale so I know there has to be a way to do it. Just have not figured it out. Any suggestions?

    Used the following method.....

"You can use a open end wrench of the appropriate size (3/4") placed on the backside of the RSB area at the barrel to press against. Supported by steel bar stock on both sides. Press the barrel with a brass puck or pennies on the bore."

    Worked like a charm!
