I had hoped for the trunnion to have matched the barrel. Mine was just like yours . Barrel and attached parts had a tag with the serial number that matched the bolt and carrier .

The barrel stub was one of the easiest I have removed yet , With my AMD 65 being by far the worst . I also removed the rear sight block pin and used a punch to slide the RSB forward . Then a little at a time filled the slot for the barrel pin with a mig welder. Just a little at a time so I didn't get the barrel too hot . Then I worked it back down with a file and emery cloth. I then reinstalled the RSB and pressed the rear trunnion on. Set the headspace and drilled for the pin.
I am waiting on my receiver now. Hope to have it next week.

Looking good Earnie. Just don't overdo it and hurt yourself worse. Glad you got the Romy receiver coming. I think that's a good choice for an original style build. What type of scope are you wanting, factory or aftermarket? I did my first one with an aftermarket scope and mount, but the second one I used the original scope. Not the greatest, but I kinda dig it.

um i was thinking of planting it in the ground then water and fertilize it and see if it would grow a new barrel lol
as i dont really see how a stub that is about 3 inches is really worth much
what do you have in mind
