    Default making parts count as 922?

    if you was to make your own parts would they count as 922 or how does that work? i cant see milling made in usa justifying anything seeing as it could be done with the parts that came with the part kit if any one can fill me in with how this works would be grate thank you guys

    YES AND NO.
    KernelKrink gave the best answer I herd to this question when it came up a year or two ago.

    New parts made in the US, by you or anyone are US parts.
    Modified import parts, no matter how heavily modified are still considered import parts, unless the modified part is used to perform a different function than originally designed.
    If home made US parts are used for 922r compliance it is suggested that you document proof of manufacture, photos etc.
