    Default My youtube build tutorials

Hey, I made some build tutorial videos on youtube. I don't have my full heat treat process uploaded yet, but I have an AK-74 that has a full heat treated flat on it.

I'm working on a massive playlist with all the steps split into different videos, so you don't have to watch all of it just what you're interested in.

Also, if you have any ideas for building videos maybe a subject that gets asked about a lot or doesn't have a video about it yet just say.

here it is, just click on the playlist at the bottom called AK-47 build:TheDarkKnightBuilds's Channel - YouTube

Very good vidios, this is the kind of thing that needs to be out there. Quality workmanship is something you can't just blast through. I've seen so many people use tools slam bang, hurry hurry, yup you'll get it done, but it ends up looking like shit and may not be safe. It's odvious you've been around the block a few times Dark Knight and know how to do a job right, and know how to use a tool right, thanks for putting that out there. There's nothing that bugs me more than to see someone doing persision work hap-hazard slam bang, DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!!! We had a guy at the marina that I wanted to slap every time I saw him press on a gear or bearing, now he was a butcher of the highest order, if the right tool wasn't handy, just use what ever was and force it!!!! He screwed up so many of our seal pressing tools for the outdrives, I had to end up getting my own set just so I didn't damage something I was doing. Nothing to talk about all the bearing cages and other parts he messed up. Nice job DN.

Thanks man, one of my good friends is a mechanic and he goes through the same thing. Right now I'm working on a barrel assembly/headspace video, soon I'll post the heat treat video which I think will be the most interesting.

I just had the time to watch those, well the longer ones I skipped through some of those, but I like them and yes that was good you broke them up into smaller videos.

Good videos, they will compliment the videos made before barrels were cut as there are now many more additional steps to building than there were before. Thanks!

Good videos! Thanks for posting. I watched many vids on utube before I even ordered my first kit and it was very helpful to see what needed to be done. You can read about it all you want but it's not like seeing it happen! Many thanks to everyone that takes the time to do this.

Thanks guys, I'm working on the heat treating video right now it will be the most interesting to the experienced builder.

Next to be released will be headspacing, measuring journals and barrel assembly.

For the measuring journals video I used one of Bluejacks krink barrels and it is the nicest U.S made barrel I've seen. All the journals were right on.

Ok, I tried to embed the video, but it won't let me.

Anyway here is a video on heat treating AK receivers with all holes drilled and rails installed.
