    I cheated on that. I drilled the pins from the rail and tapped the holes. Then drilled holes in the rsb. Modified the attachment screws by turning down the ends. The rail now pivots upward for top cover and carrier removal.

    I need to post a pic with the optic on it. Looks the part, but I haven't had a chance to try it out. snitactical.com, 552 style. The website seems to be down at the moment. Its only a plain old red dot inside, not holographic like the real thing, but it didn't cost over $500 either! If it wont hold zero or comes apart I'm only out $38. If I were planning on this being used seriously I would go with something more reputable.

    yeah that is what it looked like well whatever works.. I'm having a guy machine some dovetails in mine as soon as he gets the cutter...

    I need to modify the screw heads on the rail so they don't look out of place. Maybe machine in some grooves on the RSB.
