I was wondering about that position. Maybe the lack of using our own oil was a way to secure financial stability in a post dollar America. The Amero is coming, the dollar will crash, and oil is gaining ground on gold as a universal currency. By holding on to our oil, we are guaranteeing our place as a superpower for years to come, while draining other countries of their ability to do the same. We are paying for it now, but are actually investing in our countries financial future.
But the truth is it really sucks right now, we are totally controlled by the man, we are going broke trying to maintain quality of life, and we don't have any real say in anything that happens to us.
