Thanks guys for all the advice. 4thIDVet, you are right about the price differences. I've seen them from $500 up to $800 on gunbroker. That's what intrigued me the most was the price tag my shop had on them ($500). I'm with you on the availability issue as well, especially after November! To answer your question, I have built two romy kits myself with a little help from some local builders. They run fine. I do agree that the guns built here can have issues depending on who built them. If/when I pick one up, I'll post a range report. Again, thanks to all for your replies.
