    Default Second build, a Romy

Got this kit from I/O bluing almost gone but the bore was great. This is my second build, first build taking out the barrel, first build riveting, first time welding in rails, and first build with an 80% receiver (from coldsteel). I wasnt too worried about screwing up or worried too much about asthetics because I wanted this to be a "battlefield pickup". I think it came out pretty good.

Thanks! I used birchwood casey's perma-blue. A few thin coats then "aged" it with a scotchbrite pad.

You did a great job matching the receiver and cover!!

Thanks Winn R, I imagine matching a almost blueless receiver cover is easier than making the blue look like new factory blue, but i could be wrong.

I went out today and fired a few rounds into an old dead tree. It hit the tree from 50 yards. Good enough for me. Just wanted to check for feeding issues and all that.

I need to get one of these when I go to the range.
