Thumbs up The stock set I built on the AK I built

Here's one I didn't FUBAR completely yet.. I seem t have a passion for bending receivers into accordians lately.

Custer gave me this wood which is cribbing timber used at his steel company and it seems to be Hickory. It doesn't dent and is a little tough to work with, but makes a very stable stock.

I decided to go with a Saiga gas tube and a one peice front handguard. The rear is longer than even NATO length because I have long arms due to being tall. The P-grip is slightly patterned off my FAL grip in shape.
The butt is made out o plexiglass like plastic that I painted with Fusion spray paint from Krylon.

A new cheap Craftsman router table was my best friend completing this one.

I don't know if any stain will be applied either, it looks nice the way it is.

That stock looks really sharp, especially the handguard.

I think my personal preference would have been a plastic pistol grip, but that wooden one does look well-made.

    That is just, sexy.

What finish is on the steel.

I also agree, the stock looks good the way it is.
