    Default East vs. West

Went shooting today with a bud.

We both have AR's and AK-74's..............................

My Arsenal Inc. SLR-105A1 with plum stock set and my Colt AR15A2 with an ACOG TA-11.

    My bud's SLR-105A1 and his Knight/Stoner SR-15 M4 with Aimpoint CompM.

    Sweet!
Always consider potential Allies. Never dismiss that they may be the enemy until proven otherwise. Be careful how you hold both; You could turn one into the other. (63DH8)

There will always be a large group of people that will be preyed upon, consumed by predators just like in a school of fish.
Some fish don't venture out into the deep water, others do so only when they've developed big teeth, but most just swim along looking at how blue the water is.

Nice AK-74 builds! What kind of accuracy did you get from each rifle?

    Thanks guys.

If I do my part, and with Barnaul ammo, I can get 2"-3" at 100 yards from the bench.

These are factory Arsenal Inc. SLR-105A1's, which are Bulgarian receivers, barrels, etc, with enough US parts to be "legal" as a US rifle.

Steelcore, the Colt will outshoot just about any AK, especially with the ACOG. We'll have to hook up and get to the range and burn some powder at somepoint.

Templar -- it always tickles to read of the 1moa AK. The milled Arsenal RPK is my best and any group better than 3 is a fluke.

I've not read of the attempt, but it seems sensible that an AK configuration with out the semi components (piston, tube) and the barrel free floated (no lower handguard) although a straight pull bolt action; would be accurate.

As a semi though, the mechanics of mass that make it work so dependably make accuracy take a back seat.

True dat, my Wookie Cuz. But I have an AK or two that I will bring that very well may out shoot your Colt. I too have a Colt AR and have always been impressed with it's accuracy. I look forward to "burning the powder".
