    Default New AMD-63 Kit

After seeing the post from CFS about the 1400 AMD-63's becoming available, I decided that I would buy one (an AMD-63 was my first build), just to have a nice kit waiting to be built.

Then I remembered that a friend of mine had bought one of the "pristine" AMD-63 kit from about a year ago. I decided to ask him if he wanted to sell me his, rather give my money to him than CFS. I told him I would pay the price that CFS will be asking for theirs. He told me he would have to think about it and would let me know today.

Well, guess what? He said, "that since it's just been sitting around and he knew that I would give it a good home, he would sell it to me.". But much, much cheaper (I won't divulge the price, it would make you sick...) than what CFS was asking (remember the prices of these kits last year).

So I took it home and after introducing it to the other "build kits in waiting", I took a few pictures. Unfortunately, the pictures don't do this kit justice (I do build better rifles than taking pictures). I did find a small dent on the forward pistol grip and a small scratch on the muzzle nut but other than that..."PERFECT"

Oh, I forgot to add...Yes, it's all matching!

    Yeah, she's a real beauty!

Hey "uechiguy", are we still on for the 18th to do the riveting? If we are, I guess you can pick up your headspace gauges at the same time, 2 birds...

Wish I had one of those. Hey, Toten Kopf, how about selling it to me at the price you paid? It'll be in a good home, I promise.

Dixon -- I've a couple of those just waiting. This gets me fired up. I like them because they're, unlike the '65, comfortable to shoot.

Man I wish I could find one of those but so far no luck. Should've bought one last year when I had the chance, piss poor planning on my parts.
