Default started AK pistol build today

after looking at all these cool pistols I thought I would get started on one today, received one of the $69 yugo ak sets at lunch and here is the progress so far. Chopped about 3 1/2 inches out of the gas tube and about 8" off the bbl, shortened gastube and hangaurd to match. Should get krink style gasblock fitted in the morning and will turn new stnls gas piston.

Ya spend ya bucks where you can play the most. I am getting ready to move in a new lathe tomorrow and get started making parts after it is all set up.

    Nice!!!!!

I just machined the bbl hole and gas piston hole with the 3/8 endmill that cut the profile, makes a nice clean hole, going to pin gas block after lunch and thread bbl 1/2x28, gas hole thru bbl will be drilled under sight post from top
