    Default RPK finally built

I finally got the Romy RPK done. I tried to make it as close to original as possible. BigAl did an exellent job refinishing the furniture, as usual

The rifle is finished in black manganese on a NDS reciever. It was a matching Kit from CFS with an excellent bore. We fired @ 100 rounds through it after the final assembly with zero problems. I do like the NDS recievers ALOT...I think I'll build a G kit on one of their $50 economy recievers next.

it's a stump killer..dead on accurate at 100m..for some reason this thing seems to cycle faster than any AK i've shot, it is super smooth and burns the ammo...

    FRIGGIN' SWEET!!!!

After seeing those pics, I may have to actually order a receiver from Harlan and get mine built.

That sling looks suspiciously new, you didn't order one from Greentimber did you?

That's awesome guys. Love the wood color. Man, your guys sure do some good work.

What was that, about a 12 pack job - at least ??

PS - I see I'm going to have to get into the black manganese also. Slick and meaty.

    Did I do that?

the manganese is the bomb!!! once your setup it is easier than a painted finish. i'd say it was closer to a case+ job, we had a minor set back last night and 555th had to reblast the barrel/receiver and we refinished it today...

we bought it from shooters solution, all you have to do is dilute it. the kit aalso comes with a neutralizer whicjh seems like a wd40/oil mixture. heat is around 185-195, time takes 5-20 minutes, depending on the part and how many times the mixture has been used. i have several painted builds i'll probably blast down and redo in manganese

Looking good, just got mine together yesterday and going to the range with it today. the only problem I had is the bolt carrier didn't take the park, it is thin and gray. I have been using the park from shooters solutions for a while and it works great.
