    Default RPK Finished...

Well I just finished another build.
A Romanian RPK. The kit was pretty rough. It was in nasty shape with some pitting and rust everywhere. I had to drill out the barrel pin. I bent the barrel trunnion trying to press the barrel out. I broke the rear sight. I had to stripped the barrel of its components to refinish it. I had to drill out most of the pins.
The receiver is a DCI. I stripped the wood clean. I did a custom stain & refinishing of the furniture. It was also parkerizing by me.
This was a tough one and a lot of work, but I like the final results....

Looks like you have Australian pines?
Our yard had those needles about 3 foot thick after Hurricane charley, Ivan, Florence & 1 more I can't remember!

    That looks fantastic !!

BTW - don't kow why some builds are a snap and some are a PITA, even though they may be pretty much the same type build

Most excellent job JJ, glad to see the pile of kits get smaller and the gun collection get bigger!

Looks like you are almost ready to tackle a vickers!!
