Yo! That is one wicked concept dood! Hat is totally off on your
    ingenuity there.

Have you sorted out all the bugs and have a final end gun yet?

Would like to see final product pic spread...its just too cool to let this thread die

I agree, this weapon is an example of American brain power. Nice job. Would like to see more pictures of parts and possible a short vedio tape of the weapon being fired. Again, nice job.

Look at Photobucket.com and search under "SHARPSSHOOTER5090". Click the yellow box where it says view all images for SHARPSSHOOTER5090. There are 2 videos in .MOV format. They can be viewed with Quicktime player. There is also some still images of various stages of construction. It works great now. Steve, in El Paso, even came to Utah to see it and went home and built one himself. It is really an easy build once I got the bugs worked out.
As soon as the weather gets better here, I plan to go out to the desert and make a video of field stripping it, put it back together, loading a belt into a drum magazine I made and firing off a full belt of 50 rounds.

Just finished mine and will attempt to post some pics

MG3 topcover MG1 tray, MG42 gripstick with AR FCG (tight fit!) G3 stock, inspired by Sharpshooter. Sleeved a Chinese barrel to save pennies but won't to that again. Lathe MIG grinder/dremmel (no mill) and determination; about $300 into it. I'm hoping ejected casings will clear the RPD drum. Still need to devise a 'safe' in the gripstick. It weighs 13 lbs 14 oz w/o the drum

Thanks Sharpshooter This is my favorite build, no doubt

Man that looks great, you guys got it figured out.

Now one of you put together a simple tutorial with good pics, I think I'd like to try one of these frankenstien belt feds but I'm still scratching my head on some of the stuff, I'm simple and some directions need to have images so I can understand them.

    Again, nice builds guys.

If I could locate a good deal on a M72 RPK front section (barrel, gas system, tube, pistion, handguard mount, rear sight, bolt and bolt carrier, etc Complete front end, I got a buldged trunnion, I would build another one with drawings and pictures using the best of all three builds.
I have 2 mg53 kits, one I want to put together, the other ??? I also have parts to build a belt feed FAL I want to do. So little time so much to do!!!

Cold-rolled BC extension, 5/16" cap screw feed stud, epoxy to fit the stock, non-reciprocating MG42 cocking-handle fixed to a plate, with a 'step' up front to engage BC

Bolt stripping lug tapered slightly, standard piston but ultra-tight gas tube (light mallet-fit) gas port .191 (hitting milk jugs @ 150 yrds consistently) chrome-lined Chinese barrel. Front sight post protrudes 1/8" above the ears for correct elevation using the HK drum sight
