What a great idea! That should tame the muzzle flash quite a bit. Please let us know how it works.

Just put an L1A1 5 port on a Amd friday afternoon.Bored out the internal threads and turned down the Tapco extension for a slight press fit and welded it in.Still has the bayonet lug .Got to get an L1A1 bayonet and see if will fit(need one for the L1A1 anyway).I think it looks just fine and for $2.00 WTH. I should have gotten a few more off the Hot list for future projects.Haven't fired it yet I just got it final assembled last night.Got to get a digital camera too so no pics

Pupwag I was gonna do the same thing I even bought one those L1A1 muzzle thingies but when it came in a friend of mine needed it for his L1A1 so I gave it to him. Ihad 2 G-1 flashhiders and only one gun so I figured what the hell may as well cut one down and see how it looks. I havent fired mine yet either. Ill try to shoot it at nite and get a pic just for giggles.

I guess this is the sort of stuff that happens when you let parts from different kits get too close to each other on the work bench.
