    Default 7.62 Melon Buster

Got sidetracked from the mg47 to get this one together. Straight pull action in 7.62x25 loaded with a 150 gr bullet. Suppressor is my design on a form1. Action consists of a galil bolt with the bolt face opened to fit the 7.62x25 and an ak47 carrier that has had all the spring tunnel removed. Receiver was constructed from 1 1/2" square tubing with a welded top cover. Ak fcg. Definately a parts box weapon but I like it a lot. Very quiet with the subsonic ammo. Barrel was a gun parts blank with chambering by PBB. Feeds from M1 carbine mags.

Trunnion was a parts box milled rpk that I had laying around. Guides must be welded in the top cover to make the carrier cycle smoothly. I will try to get some internal pics up tomorrow.

That is such a cool freaking combo.

It is just the thing to cut the squirrel population without waking the retired people here in Florida.

If you get around to chronograph testing that thing, please post the results. That 150g bullet in the 7.62x25 sounds like one of those "whisper" rounds. Chambering By PBB? Who are they and was it a custom reamer?

Great rifle!!! This looks and sounds very much like a concept I had not to long back. You beat me to it, but proud someone with the talent and ideas got one put together!!! I envy you... Can I come over and burn through all your ammo?!?!

Im loading 5gr blue dot. Chronos right at 1090 fps. PBB= Panacea Beach Bum aka Thompson Machine. He has a 7.62x25 reamer and is very reasonable. My goal was to stay subsonic but there is alot of potential to speed this puppy up.

WOW!!! I'd love to build something like that. I'll have to check the box o' parts to see what I can come up with.
