I have recently acquired a RPKMS clubfoot side folding stock and folding trunnion. Should I tear down the back end of my RPK74 fixed stock and rebuild it as a plum/black folder, or just wait and purchase another RPK74 kit and receiver?

hey doc thats a nice setup!!if you can get another rpk kit that would be the way to go!
be a shame to pull apart an already built kit i think its more fun to build them then tear em down and rebuild.but im sure whatever your choice is ittl come out great!!

I'm sure I will regret it, but I decided to sell the RPKMS stock set to someone more likely to build it.

I agree that tearing down a nice build would've been a tough choice. RPK receivers are getting really hard to find. So not only does Doc have real talent for putting together accurate builds, he also helps others by selling a hard to find treasure. Doc, you are a great example of what makes this a fulfilling hobby and a great community!!!!

Those stocks are hard to come by, but the kits are too these days.

Yeah, I checked the rear teunnion holes on my rpk74 and the standard rear trunnion holes do no line up with the molot sidefolder trunnion holes. Too bad, it was a sweet and rare find.

    Ahhhhhhh, finally range tested...
Projectguns built 1958 Polish. Short rail slips into the rear sight slot without modification to the rifle. It's just a Hammers 2x42mm red dot and can slam clays on a hillside at 100yds. These things are AWESOME fun!

Default Is that your "spotter" in the lower left of the pic? LOL

Nice looking gun, looks like it would be a lot of fun to shot.
