Default My 8 1/2" pistol build with range target

Heres one I built this past spring to deer hunt with. While I didnt get to hunt with it this time its accuracy is certainly up to the task as seen by the 100yd target. Its a ball to shoot and speaking of balls anyone who has shot one of these knows about the fireballs they put out. Build'em now while you can guys, just a bit of advice you can take for what its worth. By the way the group measures 3 1/2 inches using golden tiger hp.........

That's World Class shooting for any open sighted pistol!!

Nice looking build, is that one of slamfire's pistol kits or did you do the conversion yourself?

Lot of luck and a sandbagged rest helped with the group. Restoreit did the machine work on the barrel, gas tube and piston, I did the rest. Ive added a Israeli sling to it that lets it swing under the arm but lets it come up quickly to bear on target under sling pressure. Its a pretty accurate way to shoot.

If you do, check out pirate's thread on wise lite pistol parts, they look pretty sweet, especially the rear trunnion.

I have one AK pistol, It was one of my first builds using a flat and I used an AMD65 kit. I had a 5.45 Krink pistol for a while, but rebuilt it.

Heres a pic of how I did the rear sling swivel, trunnion attachment. I couldnt see spending a lot of money for a special trunnion so I used a piece of 1 1/4" angle iron and bolted it on the inside to the stock trunnion. Not as pretty but works just fine for me.
